Mark has a psychology background and has worked in the animal welfare field since 2004. Ensuring you have a great day is his priority, and liaising between keepers and clients to create devices to improve animal welfare, while providing a great team building activity for you and your group is his speciality.

Chris Hales
Instructor

Chris has worked with wild animals since 1998.  His expertise lies in designing and building devices for animals large and small.His incredible enthusiasm and friendly attitude means Chris is in a great position to give you and your team a fantastic day to remember.

Cheryl joined BITE in 2020 and has worked in the animal care industry since completing her Zoology degree in 2013. Cheryl enjoys mentoring others and sharing new skills to provide the best possible life for animals in her care.

Iain works in Natural History in all its forms! With a background in both theatre and nature documentaries he is uniquely placed to help you make something amazing and feel awesome to. 

Nadia gould
Assistant Instructor

Nadia has been working as a mammal keeper at Paignton zoo for the past 7 years, whereby she primarily looks after various primate species, red pandas and a short beaked echidna.

I’m Jono, a primate keeper at Port Lympne with a passion for primate behaviour. I spent several months in Namibia studying wild baboons and joined Team Building With Bite in 2022 after being inspired by their enrichment work..

Aimee Hill

I’m Aimee and I’m the deptuy head of carnivores and a research and conservation officer at Woburn Safari Park. I have a passion for all living things and love to travel to different places to find local wildlife. I joined BITE in 2024 after watching them spend a lot of time at Woburn building amazing enrichment.

Sophie Louise Imhof

I’m Sophie, I’m a massive bird nerd, but my main passion is animal training and behaviour management. I’ve been with the BITE team now for 5 years, and the thing I love most is seeing individuals from all walks of life, coming together and creating something they never believed they could, which will positively impact the future of the animals in our care.

Erin Bristow

I’m Erin, a lover of all animals big and small. I have a passion for building enrichment and doing all I can to improve enclosure designs. Working with BITE is awesome as it mixes building, enrichment and animals all into one which are my favourite things. I started my zoo keeping career in 2018 and haven’t looked back. I love always being able to expand my knowledge and look forward to the adventures ahead with the team.

Lucy Starbuck

Lucy completed a degree in Zoology in 2015 and has been working at RZSS Edinburgh Zoo since 2017 where she mostly works with primates. She joined BITE in 2024 and would love to make sure you have a great day creating something to improve animal welfare

Mike Wilson
Assistant Instructor

Mike is an experienced animal specialist who supports Team Building With Bite on team builds, conferences, and enclosure projects, drawing on years spent rehabilitating wildlife in South Africa and nearly a decade at Peak Wildlife Park, where he leads enrichment and designs innovative fire‑hose toys that have gained strong social media attention.

Amy Johnson
Assistant Instructor

Amy is a zoo professional with a background in farming, a degree in Zoo Management and Conservation, experience working with gorillas, and now serves as Assistant to the Collections Manager at Howletts Wild Animal Park. She joined Team Building With Bite in 2024, helping inspire others about enrichment and its role in improving animal welfare.

Since joining BITE in 2023, Mark has brought his experience as a qualified carpenter to a wide range of projects. He supports groups throughout each build, helping develop skills and confidence while ensuring every project is completed to a high standard.
