My name is Mike. I first met Chris and Mark at the Regional Environmental Enrichment Conference at Hertfordshire Zoo back in 2024. And I have been working with Team Building With Bite for over a year, helping with team builds, conferences and big enclosure builds.

 

I have spent many years working with animals overseas, particularly in South Africa where I worked with the rescue and rehabilitation of many native species over several years, and played an active role in pangolin conservation.

 

Settling back in England in 2016 I have worked as an animal keeper at Peak Wildlife Park in Staffordshire for almost 10 years. Where I hold the position of head of enrichment for all species housed in the collection.

I am also a keen designer and builder of enrichment, particularly using fire hose material. Whereby my designs of enrichment toys for our 2 Polar Bears have gained a large social media following.
